Australia will provide a P31M donation for the victims of Ompong

Australia is providing P31 million of humanitarian supplies for emergency response.

"Our Embassy is coordinating closely with Philippine authorities and our international partners.

"We stand ready to provide further assistance if requested by the Philippine Government," Australian  Foreign Minister Marise Payne said in a statement.

Australia also has humanitarian experts, including a disaster risk reduction specialist, deployed to the Philippines."

The Philippine Red Cross will take care of distributing the sleeping mats, blankets, hygiene and shelter kits for nearly 25,000 people.
