Does Microwave Make Our Food Less Healthy?

Not at all. In fact, microwaving is one of the better cooking methods in retaining the nutritional value of food.

To maintain most of the food nutrients your cooking method should meet the following criteria:

1. least amount of time exposed to heat
2. should use the least amount of water.

You can lose about 70% of your food's nutritional value if you use the stove. The microwave can usually retain almost all the nutrients. Again the key to maintaining the nutrients in your food is to make sure it gets cooked very quickly.
